1947年出生。13岁的时候他便有幸登上了百老汇的舞台，在经典剧目《阳光下的葡萄干ARaisinintheSun》中饰演一角，他有过青少年犯罪记录幸亏他的妈妈没有放弃他挽救了他。后来在纽约名望颇高的表演艺术高中毕业之后，便参加了在全美多个地区的剧团演出，表演了上世纪六十年代晚期盛行的剧目颇受好评，74年的《TheWineSellers》获得洛杉矶评论奖的提名。在百老汇舞台的表现让他获得了第一个NAACP颁发的ImageAward（全国有色人种协进会形象奖）。60年代末期他开始转入电视剧...(展开全部)
